Our Mission: Spreading Love
At HEY Operation, we dream of a world where every child feels loved and cherished, especially during the holiday season. It all started with Diane, our passionate co-founder, who had a vision at just 16 years old to build an orphanage and make a difference in the lives of displaced youth.
Building a Better Future
With her dream in mind, Diane pursued a career in architecture, envisioning the day when she could design and construct an orphanage. However, she knew that making a difference couldn't wait, so HEY Operation began with a humble initiative in 2012. Diane and her relatives came together to create gift bags for orphans in Tijuana, aiming to bring joy and love into their lives.
Growing Love, One Child at a Time
Year after year, our dedicated team of volunteers has expanded, along with the number of gift bags we've packaged. In 2021, we joyfully assembled 2,000 gift bags in just one hour with the help of over 100 volunteers. Our ambition knows no bounds, and in 2022, we packaged 4,000 gift bags. Our ultimate goal is to reach every foster child in America, multiplying our efforts each year.
